NJ State Trooper Released From Hospital In Garden State Parkway Crash

The New Jersey State Police trooper seriously hurt last week on the Garden State Parkway has been released from a hospital, authorities said.

The trooper was investigating another crash when the accident occurred, they said.

The trooper, whose name was not released, was struck on Jan. 11 in Lakewood while investigating a 6:40 p.m. crash involving multiple vehicles in the northbound lanes at milepost 89.4, according to State Police.

“The trooper has been released from the hospital,” State Police Sgt. Philip Curry said Wednesday, Jan. 18.

No charges had been filed against the driver who struck the trooper.
